Forgive your blogger for slapping a post together in haste. Lately I am under a lot of pressure and my thoughts are quite dispersed. For what is worth, I present these thoughts for your discernment. Hope you enjoy reading them as an exercise. Don’t forget to let me know your conclusions as long as they are presented in a godly manner.

The following paragraphs are taken from a Garabandal website  which I encourage you to visit.

The Garabandal Prophecies

At Garabandal, three major future events are prophesied:

1. A worldwide Warning that will be felt interiorly by everyone on earth at the same time.

2. A great Miracle and permanent sign which will prove the veracity of the apparitions of Garabandal.

3. Conditionally, if after the Warning and The Miracle we still do not change, a Worldwide Punishment directly From God.

The Warning

In a 1978 interview, Mari-Loli, the only seer to know the year of the warning, described it as follows:
“Everyone will experience it wherever they may be, regardless of their condition or their knowledge of God. It will be an interior personal experience. It will look as if the world has come to a standstill, .no one will be aware of that as they will be totally absorbed in their own experience.”

Mari-Loli continued:
“It is going to be something like an interior feeling of sorrow and pain for having offended God. God will help us to see clearly the harm we are causing Him and all the evil things we do. He will help us to sense this interior pain because often when we do something wrong we just ask the Lord’s forgiveness with our lips, but now (through the Warning) He will help us sense physically that deep sorrow.”

In a 1977 interview Jacinta describes The Warning as follows:

“The Warning is something that is first seen in the air everywhere in the world and immediately is transmitted into the interior of our souls. It will last for a very little time, but it will seem a very long time because of its effect within us. It will be for the good of our souls, in order to see in ourselves our conscience, the good and the bad that we’ve done. Then we’ll feel a great love toward our heavenly parents and ask forgiveness for all our offenses.”

Asked if The Warning would be felt even by non-Catholics, Jacinta replied:

The Warning is for everybody because God wants our salvation. The Warning is for us to draw closer to Him and to increase our faith. Therefore, one should prepare for that day, but not awaiting it with fear because God doesn’t send things for the sake of fear but rather with justice and love and He does it for the good of all His children that they might enjoy eternal happiness and not be lost.

Conchita , in a 1977 interview described the Warning:

“…the Virgin told me that before the Miracle God will be sending us a Warning so as to purify us or prepare us to see the Miracle and in this way we may draw enough grace to change our lives toward God. She told me what the Warning will consist of but not the date. I am not able to say what it consists of but I am able to say what it will be like, more or less. It is a phenomenon which will be seen and felt in all the world and everywhere; I have always given as an example that of two stars that collide. This phenomenon will not cause physical damage, but it will horrify us because at that very moment we will see our souls and the harm we have done. It will be as though we were in agony but we will not die by its effects but perhaps we will die of fright or shock to see ourselves.”

Earlier, in 1973, Conchita said of the Warning:

“The most important thing about that day is that everyone in the whole world will see a sign, a grace, or a punishment within themselves — in other words a Warning. They will find themselves all alone in the world no matter where they are at the time, alone with their conscience right before God . They will then see all their sins and what their sins have caused.”

I tend to believe the Miracle of the Sun of October 13, 1917 was a model of The Warning. It produced a fruit of repentance among the crowd present at the Cova da Iria that day. It was accompanied also by conversions (healing of the spirit) and also healings of all kinds of physical ailments. It was a witness to everyone on earth but only a month later came the October Revolution in Russia.

Russians were on the Julian Calendar at the time so the Bolshevik Revolution happened really in November. But Our Lady of Fatima already knew and warned Three Little Shepherds of the “error of Russia.” The prediction transmitted by the children  served as a seal to prove the veracity of the apparitions. There was no way those innocent, isolated little seers could have known the complex events going on in far away Russia at that time.

Nine months?

One more thing I just noticed today. A possible series of events very close to us in time.

Pope Benedict XVI dies on December 31, 2022. From Revelation 12 we learn that the Church is sent into the wilderness to be fed 1,260 days, that is 42 months or 3 and 1/2 years. Then a woman appears in Heaven. I see the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe representing the Church clothed with the light of Christ—the Sun. It is the Ark of the Covenant suddenly visible to God’s people after millennia.

“A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pangs, in the agony of giving birth.” (Revelation 12: 1-3)

As the day of giving birth approaches, persecution starts. The devil wants to abort the birth of the Kingdom.

“Then the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child, so that he might devour her child as soon as it was born. And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. But her child was snatched away and taken to God and to his throne; (Revelation 12: 4-5)

The 1,260 days: the Church is nourished miraculously where apparently there is no nourishment. Compare with Christ temptation in the wilderness.

“and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, so that there she can be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.”

Pope Benedict XVI dies December 31, 2022. The faithful Church is left apparently orphan. Is that the end of a specific age as predicted by Our Lady to the seers of Garabandal? Adding 1,260 days to the date of Pope Benedict’s demise (December 31, 2022)  take us  to Saturday June 13, 2026. Benedict XVI is the last pope before the beginning of  the end times, according to the predictions of Our Lady in Garabandal. The same pope is marked by the discovery of Prof. Massano. See Distinction.

On June 13, 1917,  Our Blessed Mother appeared to the Little Shepherds encouraging them to continue praying the Rosary every day. She also encouraged Lucia to learn to read and write. Lucia was told she should spread the message of Our Lady of Fatima to mankind. Our Lady also told the children that God wants to “establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world” promising salvation to those who embrace and promote that devotion.

Now … turn your attention to Monday October 13, 2025, Why? The difference between June 13, 2026 and October 13, 2025 is approximately 9 months, the time it takes to take a child to term. (Again, Revelation 12: 4-5) At that approximate time comet 3i/Atlas (or something behaving like a comet) is scheduled to be crossing the Solar System. See Is God’s Avenger Here?  reminding me of the “two stars colliding” that mark the moment of The Warning.

At that moment the Church is in persecution in many parts of the world. (Revelation 12: 13-17) War and a Great Tribulation precede the triumph of the Lamb described in Revelation 14.

I was surprised to see that from October 13, 2025 to the end of the 1,260 days in June 13, 2026 there is a nine month distance. Revelation 12 talks of a pregnant woman about to give birth. It is obviously the Church. The baby is —explicitly in Revelation 12— the Kingdom of God. The numbers, temporal terms, and symbolic images fit together effortlessly.

The Warning: a slap in the face of Materialism

When The Warning occurs, it will be a slap in the face of materialist scientificism. As scientists of the early 20th century unfolded the consequences of Einstein’s Relativity they discovered more and more paradoxes and apparent contradictions. Leaving a place to return to the same point before departing was the first of them all. Now many scientists (theoretical physicists)  are lost in the jungle of String Theory and about to abandon it out of frustration: they are getting nowhere slowly!

The AI misnomer ads to it. Intelligence is not mere computation. There is no intelligence-in-a-can. No such thing will ever be devised. That capacity is in God’s realm. It is quite apparent that something is apportioning intelligence in the universe. Every creature has enough intelligence to fulfill its mission. Angels, according to Aquinas, are given enough intelligence to do what God orders them to do. When Lucifer fell, his intelligence was greatly diminished. Being dumb is to be intelligent enough to be evil and vice versa. To replace the fallen angel God called the smallest, more modest angelical creature: Michael. Then God gave Michael the smarts and strength necessary to protect Israel and the Church, the new Israel.  See Matthew 18:4

“Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

and  Isaiah 57:15

“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and humble in spirit, to restore the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the contrite.'”

Notice the transfer of spirit to the lowly and oppressed; the reviving of the heart which the ancients considered the seat of thought; and the inaccessibility of God’s dwelling.

Materialists test the boundaries of intelligence and their wisdom is thus confounded. As we get close to the limit that was imposed on us, we see the greatness of God’s thoughts and the strong limitations imposed on us by God. The way to get to understand the higher forms of wisdom may be to submit to God in absolute humility. Modesty may be the golden path to the highest truths. The classic story of St. Augustine illustrates the fact:

“St. Augustine was walking by the seashore one day contemplating and trying to understand the mystery of the Holy Trinity when he saw a small boy running back and forth from the water to a spot on the seashore. The boy was using a sea shell to carry the water from the ocean and place it into a small hole in the sand. The Bishop of Hippo approached him and asked, “My boy, what are you doing?” “I am trying to bring all the sea into this hole,” the boy replied with a sweet smile. “But that is impossible, my dear child, the hole cannot contain all that water” said Augustine. The boy paused in his work, stood up, looked into the eyes of the Saint, and replied, “It is no more impossible than what you are trying to do – comprehend the immensity of the mystery of the Holy Trinity with your small intelligence.” The Saint was absorbed by such a keen response from that child, and turned his eyes from him for a short while. When Augustine glanced down to ask him something else, the boy had vanished.” — “Out of the mouth of babes You have perfected praise.” (Matthew 21:16)

Now consider Micah 6:8

“He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”

This post is not a prediction but a question. I do not know the mind of God and I abhor creating prophetic calendars. But the events occurring around us moved me to put together these hasty thoughts. I’ve been told these efforts are “just a bunch of slop” and most likely they are. Interesting slop if you ask me! What if it turns out to be even partially true?

We won’t have to wait long to find out. The First Saturday of October is upon us and the 108th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun is only two weeks away.
