We began this conversation on October 10, 2010. Much water has passed under the bridge and —to the best of my belief— I sense we are fast  approaching that momentous point in human history. We restart our conversation. Some may wonder why I do not mention the ‘great themes of the day’ namely the nonsense emanating from Rome and from Europe in general. Sincerely, I have nothing to say. My knowledge of Canon Law is scarce, and I can hardly comment on international affairs. All I can say is that I am watching the ancient prophecies happen in real time. If you ask me, we are past the “smell of napalm in the morning” moment. The battle is right ahead of us but not too far.

The dissolution of Western Civilization continues apace. Five centuries ago the world began to drift away from Christ in earnest. It is obvious that a correction is needed if we are to survive. I see that as a personal issue: I am doing what I can to prepare interiorly for the coming shock like a soldier that checks all he needs to enter battle.

The battle is spiritual, moral, not physical. I observe many that are still thinking of this dilemma in political, material terms. That is a big error caused by the attachment to this passing world. I do not blame those for acting that way. Humans of this age are attached to the trappings of modern time.

We are seeing enough proof of the general dissolution but we secretly wish that we’ll be able to watch the whole of the last days of this global Pompey from our living-room window. Those ideas need to be dismissed right away. We will survive and win by God’s grace, trembling, bleeding, on our knees.

I am seeing the whole thing from here in the underbelly of the world. When a system collapses, often the peripheries are the first to go. A dying body begins to lose strength in the center but the consequences of that weakness are felt at the tips of one’s toes and fingers. So is the case here. The old familiar strength is gone. Messages from central control are not reaching the edges of the system. The soldiers are there but the orders are garbled and nonsensical. Soon the rest of the world will feel the same way.
