A reliable person with excellent credentials wrote to me early this morning regarding Fr. Oliveira. My friend wrote:

“As for the prophecy, It is not from God, as that priest is known for many fake prophecies.”

I was a bit shocked by the clarity of the statement but I thought “we were warned that the devil will try to deceive even the elect!” Fr. Oliveira has predicted so many things,  he could be potentially deceiving the faithful. In this case, such a short prophecy would be a really stupid move if it is fake. In a matter of hours it will be known to all if it was true or false.

Months ago, Fr. Oliveira suggested —a couple of years in advance— that his vision of the wake of Benedict XVI could indicate that the beloved Pope would die in 2022. Considering the advanced age and frail health of Pope Benedict, even I could have predicted something like that without any divine assistance. But then two remarkable things happened.

  • Pope Benedict died in the last day of 2022
  • His death coincided with the day when the Church remembers Pope Silvester I

I don’t know much about Pope Silvester but I do know he was alive when Constantine the Great was Emperor of Rome, when the imperial edict establishing freedom of religion was signed, and the first Basilica of St. Peter was built on the grounds of the old Roman Circus. That was at the end of the Roman persecutions at a moment of transformation after the Council of Nicaea.

In any case, when I was translating the visions of Fr. Oliveira into English, I noticed the prediction of the death of Benedict XVI was cautiously expressed as a question: “Is Pope Benedict XVI going to his eternal reward in 2021 or 2022?” I thought at that point that soon we were going to know for sure if the prophecy was right. Benedict could have died only a few hours later and the prophecy (or suggestion) would have been proved false.

Only a few hours separate us from October 13, 2023. We have been told that Our Blessed Mother “will give a sign” to Fr. Oliveira personally, to the world, or both. We were not told exactly what.

I will be alert and won’t miss a single detail of the day. We will know by Saturday if we can confirm or deny Fr. Oliveira’s assertion.
