The Blessed Virgin Mary told Saint Bridget about the seven graces granted to those who honored her daily considering her tears and pains and praying seven times Hail Mary. Here are the seven graces promised to those who practice and promote this devotion.

The Promise

I will put peace in their families.
They will be enlightened in the Divine Mysteries.
I will comfort them in their sorrows and accompany them in their labors.
I will give them anything they ask for, as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son and the sanctification of their souls.
I will defend them in the spiritual combats with the infernal enemy, and I will protect them in every moment of your life.
I will visibly assist them at the moment of their death; they will see the face of their Mother.
I have obtained from my Divine Son that the souls that spread this devotion to my tears and pains be transferred directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be erased, and my Son and I will be their consolation and joy.

The Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Ave, María, grátia plena,
Dóminus tecum.
Benedicta tu in muliéribus,
et benedíctus fructus ventris
tui, Iesus.
Sancta María, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen.

The Sorrows

Eve was going to be the mother of all mankind. “The man named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all who live.” (Genesis 3:20) God made a garden for Adam and Eve to live, grow and learn until the time was right for them to reproduce and be the ancestors of all mankind. But Eve was tempted by a wicked, fallen angel and the just and perfect plans of God were altered by the poor used His creatures made of their free will. That was the beginning of our sorrows. Immediately after the fall of Adam and Eve, God conceived a plan to return mankind to its original perfect state. That included a long time when men and women yet to be born had to experience the sorrow and pain of living separated from God’s loving care. What followed was a history of the sufferings of all mankind. (Genesis 3:16) Toil and suffering and death were going to be the lot of mankind for ages to come.
